Getting ready to leave!

After two years of waiting, the day of departure is nearly here!!! Bob and I will be picked up Sunday afternoon by a limousine and taken to the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills.  We will attend a gala on Sunday night with our fellow world travelers.  Then, on Monday morning the cruise company will take us to our ship in the L.A. harbor to leave on our 113 day world adventure!!! Getting excited now.  Our four huge suitcases were picked up on December 30th so we aren't bogged down with 200 pounds of luggage to carry.  The cruise line is having them delivered to our stateroom on our day of departure.  That's a really nice feature of this cruise line.  If any of you are interested in viewing our itinerary you can see it on the Silversea World Cruise 2014.  We start in Los Angeles and end in Barcelona, Spain.  I am really excited that some of our kids will be able to come aboard for a bon voyage party and have lunch with us on the ship before we leave.  It will be very hard to say goodbye to our kids, grandkids, and my mom for 6 or 7 months, but we are looking forward to having many stories about our adventures to share with them when we return.  My older granddaughters are going with me tomorrow to have a final day with my mom.  It's tough to leave her since she's 94.  I know she is in God's hands and He will take good care of her :)  There's just a few last minute details to take care of, then we're off.  I'll be blogging as often as possible, so if you're interested you can follow us on as we embark on this incredible world adventure.  I hope all of you have a safe and fun-filled Winter and Spring and we'll look forward to seeing many of you next summer.
